On behalf of the Columbiana County Commissioners, we would like to welcome you to our very beautiful and diverse county. Columbiana County is located on the eastern edge of Ohio and is bounded on the east by the state of Pennsylvania, on the south by the Ohio River and Jefferson and Carroll Counties, on the west by Carroll and Stark Counties and the north by Mahoning County. The county is close to major markets located in the heart of Pittsburgh, Cleveland industrial corridors. The county is irregular in shape, has a total area of 534 square miles and is composed of 18 townships.

Columbiana County(named in honor of Christopher Columbus and Queen Anne) Ohio lies virtually at the point where the states of Ohio,Pennsylvania and West Virginia meet.  The county’s eastern border is the Ohio River.  Its unique location provides manufacturers access to one of the world’s greatest transportation arteries.  Its port system handles 15 million tons of cargo a year and is Ohio’s largest on the Ohio River.
